I suck at video editing. And I’m not the creative type, so it seems. I spent hours till 4AM choosing photos and editing clips and this is the best that I could make out of nothing. But it was worth it.
Went to a coffee shop with this guy. Only a few people were in there with us, which was perfect. He didn’t know what was coming. I went ahead, pulled out my laptop and placed the earphones on him. His eyes were fixed intently on the screen, as tears suddenly formed at the corners. By the last photo of the video, he couldn’t take it anymore. He pulled out the plugs and hugged me ever so tightly and cried, burying his face on my shoulder. Then, I secretly called his phone. My contact details on the default screen was shown to be the photo of the ring with the contact name “Be Mine?” When he finally noticed his phone ringing, he was surprised, looked at me, as I smiled at him with the ring he gave me back on my recent birthday. When he courted me on my birthday, things got a bit messy and we were forced to take things down a notch within 8 days after. So I had to hide away the ring he gave me on his proposal. And now it was time to wear it again. There’s no reason for me to doubt, that’s what I’ve learned. I handed him the ring, telling him that this time, there’s no turning back and that there’s no reason to hide anymore. While trying to hold back the tears, he placed the ring on my left ring finger once more. “This will never come off ever again,” he told me as he stuggled with a little smile. Oh, how I wished I could just replay that moment over and over again.
